Bruce T. Leitman’s practice concentrates on state and federal civil and criminal litigation, with particular focus on appellate practice. Mr. Leitman also has substantial experience in the defense of lawyers charged with ethical violations. Mr. Leitman was born on September 9, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1963. Thereafter he studied at the London School of Economics in 1963-64. Mr. Leitman received his Juris Doctor degree form the University of Michigan in 1966. Between 1977 and 1986, Mr. Leitman served as Adjunct Professor of Law in appellate advocacy at Wayne State University Law School. Mr. Leitman is admitted to the following bars: the State of Michigan; the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan; the United States Supreme Court; the Third Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Fourth Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Fifth Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Sixth Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Seventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Eighth Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Ninth Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Tenth Circuit United States Court of Appeals; the Eleventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals; and the District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals.
